SUMMARY:You Matter Here Mural
DESCRIPTION:“YOU MATTER HERE” \nThree simple words\, but for many people\, they’re words we don’t hear enough. \nThis mural was created as a reminder for anyone walking by\, whether you’re having a good day or carrying something heavy\, that your presence matters. East Austin has always been a place built on culture\, resilience and community\, and this piece is meant to give something back to the people who move through it every day. \nMental health conversations don’t always happen out loud. If this mural makes one person pause\, breathe\, or feel a little less alone\, then it’s doing its job. \nYou matter here. Siempre. \nThis project is supported in part by the City of Austin Economic Development Department.

SUMMARY:Austin's Performance Club
DESCRIPTION:Austin\, as far as we know\, The Performance Club has not been realized anywhere else! \nThe Performance Club operates on the belief that live performance is a catalyst for audiences and performers. By providing time for audiences to witness a live performance and immediately process the performance individually\, in their own way—through writing\, drawing\, dancing\, resting\, meditating\, etc.—unforeseen insights arise. The Performance Club is not about critique\, and no one imposes their exploration on anyone else. It is a community experiment that provides audiences and performers the opportunity to notice how they influence and inspire one another. \nHOW PERFORMANCE CLUB WORKS\n• Performance Club is a timed\, 1-hour event running for 5 consecutive evenings the fourth week (Sunday through Thursday) of each month\, January 26\, 2026 through December 2026.\n• The live performance lasts 15–30 minutes\, and the audience response period is 30–45 minutes\, filling the remaining portion of the hour-long event.\n• An artist(s) practices/performs for 5 consecutive evenings. Each month\, a new artist(s) work is presented.\n• Audience response periods are a time for members to engage in silent\, individual reflection using personally relevant mediums: meditation\, drawing\, writing\, dancing\, moving\, resting\, etc. This is the defining feature of the Performance Club: To provide audience members with the space and time to explore how the performance can be a catalyst for thoughts\, feelings\, and ideas. Outstanding is the absence of verbal exchange throughout\, like being in a library. \nWHEN\nThe PC takes place the fourth week (Sunday through Thursday) of each month\, January 26\, 2026 through December 2026. \nTIME\n• Each session: 7:00–8:00 PM\n• 15–30 min artist(s) presentation\n• 30–45 min audience response time (writing\, drawing\, movement\, reflection) \nWHERE\nRotating locations. For current month venue and details contact: info@fisterra.xyz \nPERFORMERS\n• Present a work in progress\, excerpt\, or fully realized piece\, for 5 consecutive evenings.\n• Become a member and fill out Part 2 of the registration form\, first-served.\n• Choose your month\, January 2026 through December 2026\, as well as an alternative month.

SUMMARY:Yellow Face by David Henry Hwang
DESCRIPTION:Yellow Face by David Henry Hwang is a sharp\, witty\, and startlingly personal comedy that peels back the layers of race\, identity\, and representation in America. Blurring fact and fiction\, the play follows a playwright caught in his own public reckoning\, revealing how good intentions can collide with uncomfortable truths. Fast-paced and bitingly funny\, Yellow Face invites audiences to laugh\, squirm\, and reflect on who gets seen\, who gets cast\, and who gets to tell the story \nTickets: $30 or pay-what-you-can
