DESCRIPTION:6/6/25 Exploded Drawing will return to Dadalab for our 64th official session. Deantoni Parks has spent the last couple of years as a member of Andre3000’s band. In his career he has also contributed to projects with The Mars Volta\, John Cale\, Sade\, Flying Lotus\, Kendrick Lamar\, The GTA 5 soundtrack and many\, many more. His first appearance at Exploded Drawing was over 8 years ago and one of our favorite moments in ED history. Multi instrumentalist/producer bunycalx will be joining us for the first time in many years with loads of new music. Creative beat maker Mu will be joining us from San Antonio. Yo Cisco Kidd will be joining us from Dallas. Austintes Buugee and Sprrow will both be making their Exploded Drawing debut. \nAmerica’s 2nd longest running producer showcase. Always ALL ORIGINAL electronic and beat music since 2010. Always $5 to get in. We look forward to seeing you. JOIN US!

In his career\, he’s worked with greats like Madlib\, J Dilla\, Dilated Peoples\, Egyptian Lover and MF DOOM\, just to name a few. In addition to being one of the world’s greatest Turntablists\, he’s also a fantastic beat maker and will be blessing us with a rare beat set. Austin native @_yadirabrown will be performing music off of her excellent brand new EP. Experimental Violinist/multi instrumentalist and electronic musician @hexpartner is someone who recently caught our attention with her unique style. Local legend @benbuckbeatbox will be making his Exploded Drawing debut. Chicago born\, Houston based\, highly skilled OG beat maker @musicbykennykeys will be returning to ED for the first time in a decade. @geoff_b_512 will be joining us from San Marcos with music from his new album. Density512 recently premiered the Holocaust Remembrance Opera Eva and the Angel of Death\, played at the 2022 SXSW Music Festival\, launched classical radio station KMFA 89.5’s Off Beat Series\, co-curated Fast Forward Austin’s 2018 new music festival\, and participated in nine performances of Ragnar Kjartannson’s kinetic sculpture S.S. SUMMARY:Yearning\, Every Dawn
DESCRIPTION:“Yearning\, Every Dawn” is a live music journey\, merging Iranian classical and western electronic sounds with Persian poetry. A laboratory for experimentation with composed and improvised music\, the project features the Iranian kamancheh and live electronics. We strive to push the boundaries of contemporary music and use poetry as a tangible medium to express profound human experiences. \n“Yearning\, Every Dawn” was born out of a piece for voice\, kamancheh\, and live electronics\, commission by Ojai in 2023 in collaboration with our brilliant friend\, Tara Khozein. The project blossomed into a concert-length program\, celebrating the gorgeous musical contributions by our Jessika Kenney\, Fariba Zahedi\, and Theodosia Roussos. \nWe were fortunate to develop the program at the most recent round of Banff Centre’s “Musicians in Residence” program in January 2024.\nCome along with open ears and bring your friends!
