A PATH OF IMPERMANENCE: LIFE ALONG A HIGHWAY EXPANSION

An opening night event for local Austin photographer Liz Moskowitz’s solo gallery show, A Path of Impermanence: lives along a highway expansion, at Future Front House.
The exhibit documents the people, places, and landscapes impacted by the Capital Express Central I-35 highway expansion and includes archival photographic prints, interview quotes, and site-specific artifacts. Moskowitz’s images speak to broader themes of displacement, community, memory, and change. All images were shot on 120mm film with a medium format camera.
The evening reception at Future Front House on October 19th 2024 from 6-9 p.m. will include a Q&A with select project participants at 7p.m. and an opportunity for attendees to write down their own memories and have their notes be part of a catalog donated to the Austin History Center.
The exhibit will be on view through October 29.
