The play is dedicated to the most silenced voice in American history, the black woman. This engaging choreopoem fuses jazz aesthetic movement, elegant melodic voices in four-part harmonies, truth-laced spoken word and beautifully crafted vignettes that engage all five senses and paint a portrait of what it means to be a black woman in America. The piece openly confronts topics such as identity, politics, healthcare, relationships, love, and police brutality, all told through a lens of tough love with a side of humor.
