Charcoal Workshop with Holly Haney

Do Tell is excited to host another hands-on art workshop, this time with Austin-based artist Holly Haney!
In this portrait-focused workshop, she’ll guide participants through charcoal as a playful, powerful, and forgiving medium. Focusing less on perfection or preciousness, and more on energy, intuition, and finding your own visual voice.
Holly has exhibited work in Cambridge, Berlin, Portland, and Austin, and brings a thoughtful, down-to-earth approach shaped by both fine art and creative production. Her goal is to create a relaxed, supportive space where everyone feels encouraged to experiment, take risks, and enjoy the process.
This workshop is open to all levels, whether you’re picking up charcoal for the first time or looking to reconnect with your practice.
Come draw, eat cheese, and make art alongside a great group of people. Heads up – this WILL get messy.
