The Solstice and Equinox symbolize the transition of seasons, rebirth, and renewal. Let’s come together and celebrate the changing seasons as a community. Please join us for JK’s Just Kidding, a seasonal variety show featuring artists across mediums.

ABOUT THE SHOW: The weekend of the Fall Equinox we have performances by improv artist Shannon Stott, musician BRUCE, dancer Aida Reyes, and a screening by filmmaker PJ Raval. Immediately following the performances join us for an artist reception celebrating Michael Anthony Garcia, and the opening of their exhibit “sit with it” in the 4th Floor Gallery.

LOCATION: 901 Trinity St, 78701 at the Trinity St Playhouse in downtown Austin, on the 4th floor of the First Austin church

ABOUT THE ARTISTS: Your hosts, jkjk, are married couple punk rocker khattieQ and experimental theatre artist Jenny Larson-Quiñones. They create queer performance that centers joy and disrupts the status quo. Their work has shown in Canada, Finland, Germany, and across the US including at the 2022 Ars Nova ANT Fest in NYC, the 2023 OUTsider Fest in Austin, and the INVERSE Festival at the Momentary in 2024. jkjklol.org
