THE SOCO WOMEN’S CHORUS PRESENTS “LUX! – A CELEBRATION OF LIGHT” – LUX is Latin for “light,” and this concert will explore the many facets of illumination through song. We have a powerful, lush choral repertoire lined up—from serene, meditative compositions to bold, triumphant works. Tickets now on sale for Saturday, December 14 at 6pm and Sunday December 15 at 3pm.
After the performance, stay for a festive reception with light snacks, desserts, and our now-famous annual silent auction!
Experience the brilliance of choral music through captivating works like Eriks Esenvalds’ ethereal “Lux Aeterna” and Z. Randall Stroope’s dramatic “Revelation”. Feel the warmth of Marie-Claire Saindon’s luminous “Light” and the serene beauty of Sarah Quartel’s “Sanctum” inspired by the soaring landscapes of the Canadian wilderness. Delight in Eric Whitacre’s expressive “Hebrew Love Songs”, a stunning song cycle based on five pieces of poetry.
