Postcards from the Border: Album Release Party

Join us for an unforgettable evening celebrating the release of Postcards from the Border – the album!
Produced by composer, multi-instrumentalist, and bandleader Sergio Mendoza, this inaugural Laboratorio Arts recording is the soundtrack to the theatrical production, Postcards from the Border, that premiered this January to two sold-out audiences at Texas Performing Arts’ McCullough Theatre and brought to life the rich, often-overlooked stories of families living along the Texas–Mexico border.
At this intimate event, the entire album—six songs and three narrated postcards—will be performed live by its creators: singer-songwriter Carrie Rodriguez, author Oscar Cásares, and the original Postcards from the Border band: Alex Marrero, David Jimenez, David Pulkingham, Greg Gonzalez, and Sergio Mendoza. Both vinyl and CD versions of the album will be available for purchase.
