Pride & Joy : An LGBTQ+ Community Art Celebration

Come celebrate queer family, creativity, and community with us during Austin Pride weekend!
Under the artistic leadership of Wanda Montemayor, LPC-S, ATCS, ATR-BC, RPT-S (she/her) and Zachary Van Den Berg, LPC, ATR-BC (he/they), this all-ages art event invites participants to create, connect, and play in a vibrant, welcoming space.
✨ Featured Art Activities:
Jewelry Making – Design necklaces and bracelets with beads, letters, and charms
Ceramic Tile Making – Contribute to an Art in Public Places Community mosaic mural to be installed on South Lamar – led by Wanda Montemayor.
Printmaking – Explore identity and joy through colorful prints
Laugh and be dazzled by Drag performer Ritzy Bitz, who will be MC’ing an epic raffle and closing the celebration with a fantastic sing-along you won’t want to miss!
This event is centered on healing, identity, and chosen family, offering expressive art activities for kids, teens, adults, caregivers, and LGBTQIA+ community members.
We’re proud to be collaborating with partners like T.E.N.T. (Trans Empowerment & Network of Texas) and Gender Unbound, along with local artists and community leaders who will be sharing resources, performances, and ways to stay connected beyond the event.
