Synth Salon is back for its second year with 4 days of interactive workshops, hands-on gear time, and community connection for anyone curious about sound synthesis, drum machines, and music production.
Whether you’re brand new to electronic music or looking to deepen your skills, our sessions cover everything from the fundamentals of synthesis to modular patching, drum machine programming, sampling and syncing devices with CV and MIDI. Between structured workshops, join our open-format Salons—freeform sessions where you can experiment with synths and drum machines, sample our library, work on your productions, and get one-on-one guidance and support.
WORKSHOPS:
SYNTH 1: FUNDAMENTALS
Learn the building blocks of sound synthesis and start shaping tones from scratch.
MODULAR 1: HARDWARE
Get hands-on with modular synths and explore patching techniques in the real world.
MODULAR 2: VCV RACK
Dive into modular concepts using VCV Rack, a free virtual modular environment.
DRUM MACHINES 1: 16-STEP BASICS
Master the classic step-sequencing workflow for creating beats.
DRUM MACHINES 2: SAMPLING
Chop, load, and trigger your own sounds for custom drum patterns.
SALONS X 4
Freeform sessions to play, record, and connect with the community on your own terms.

The venue is wheelchair accessible. If you have any specific accessibility needs or questions, please contact us directly. All classes will be held in English, however Spanish translation will be available.
Safety:
Masks and hand sanitizer will be provided.

Crashbox is the last bay door to your left. Parking is limited.
Headphones will be provided but feel free to bring your own.

Ya sea que estés empezando en la música electrónica o quieras profundizar tus conocimientos, nuestras sesiones cubren desde los fundamentos de la síntesis hasta el patching en sistemas modulares, la programación de cajas de ritmos, el sampling y la sincronización de dispositivos con CV y MIDI.
