THIS TAKES DOING EXHIBITION

April 11

Free – $7

This Takes Doing: The Partnership of Angie and Charles Umlauf brings the UMLAUF Sculpture Garden + Museum’s home and studio collection to the gallery, offering a rare glimpse into the personal and artistic lives of Charles and Angie Umlauf. While the home and studio are not currently accessible to the public, this exhibition allows visitors to experience what it’s like to visit the historic site—something that will soon be possible. The UMLAUF recently completed a Historic Preservation, Expansion, and Unification (HPEU) Plan that outlines strategies to connect the existing sculpture garden and museum with the Umlauf homestead, and preserve the site for visitors to experience in person. The HPEU Plan was made possible by the Austin Parks Foundation, H-E-B, City of Austin Economic Development Department, Nelie Plourde, and Page architecture firm.

The Gallery is open Tues-Fri from 10am-4pm and Sat/Sun from 11am-4pm.
