Arushi Mudgal (Odissi Dance) + Vocal Concert

‘Shāshwat’ – Eternal. This enthralling presentation of music and dance pays tribute to the legendary maestro Pandit Kumar Gandharva on the occasion of his birth centenary in 2024.
‘Shāshwat’ will showcase two mesmerizing segments:
Odissi Dance Concert:
Arushi Mudgal hailed as “one of India’s most remarkable dancers” by the New York Times brings her blend of creativity and technical virtuosity to Odissi, an Indian classical dance form. Trained under her aunt Madhavi Mudgal and educated at the renowned Gandharva Mahavidyalaya in New Delhi, Mudgal is celebrated as one of the foremost young talents in Odissi. Joining Arushi Mudgal on stage are vocalists Sawani Mudgal and Khushal Sharma, mardal and tabla player Sibasankar Satapathy, and flutist Sujith Naik.
Vocal music concert:
Kumar-ji’s unique compositions will be presented by his grand-disciples – Sawani Mudgal and Khushal Sharma. Their guru, Pandit Madhup Mudgal, a prime disciple of Pandit Kumar Gandharva, imparted a rich legacy that now resonates through them.
