FRIENDS IN TIME – Two unique evenings of jazz tap improvisation and fun with some of the best in the business including Dianne Walker (Boston), Skip Cunningham, Sarah Reich, Karissa Royster and Tony Meriwether (LA), Acia Gray (Austin), Elizabeth Burke (NYC) and Bril Barrett (Chicago) accompanied by The Soul 2 Sole Trio with Masumi Jones on drums, Ben Irom on piano and Dylan Jones on bass!

(Austin, TX) – Tapestry Dance Company presents its annual festival of rhythm with the 24th Annual Soul 2 Sole International Tap Festival, June 19th-23rd, 2024. This one-of-a-kind, “Austintatious” tap festival brings world renown tap artists from around the world for a soulful live reunion. A relaxed and intimate opportunity for students to look inward and upward to unpack and discover what it is to be a tap-dancing artist from many of these leaders in the field.
LISTENING & SHARING
S2S 2024 will offer two new multi-level, shared experience Tracks: The Rhythm Section and The Composers. Each track (with a la carte options) will offer unique “in the room” experiences orchestrated by our seven different tap dance artists. Students will experience not only unique techniques from seven different artists but diverse approaches to the art form through their lives in and out of their tap shoes.

Two Orchestrated Tracks (ADV BEG/INT & INT/ADV), 22 a la carte master class options, seven Love & Legacy sessions, film screenings, panel discussions, tap jam with live music at Tapestry Dance and two premiere concerts at The Long Center/Rollins Theatre!
