Austin, as far as we know, The Performance Club has not been realized anywhere else!

The Performance Club operates on the belief that live performance is a catalyst for audiences and performers. By providing time for audiences to witness a live performance and immediately process the performance individually, in their own way—through writing, drawing, dancing, resting, meditating, etc.—unforeseen insights arise. The Performance Club is not about critique, and no one imposes their exploration on anyone else. It is a community experiment that provides audiences and performers the opportunity to notice how they influence and inspire one another.

HOW PERFORMANCE CLUB WORKS
• Performance Club is a timed, 1-hour event running for 5 consecutive evenings the fourth week (Sunday through Thursday) of each month, January 26, 2026 through December 2026.
• The live performance lasts 15–30 minutes, and the audience response period is 30–45 minutes, filling the remaining portion of the hour-long event.
• An artist(s) practices/performs for 5 consecutive evenings. Each month, a new artist(s) work is presented.
• Audience response periods are a time for members to engage in silent, individual reflection using personally relevant mediums: meditation, drawing, writing, dancing, moving, resting, etc. This is the defining feature of the Performance Club: To provide audience members with the space and time to explore how the performance can be a catalyst for thoughts, feelings, and ideas. Outstanding is the absence of verbal exchange throughout, like being in a library.

WHEN
The PC takes place the fourth week (Sunday through Thursday) of each month, January 26, 2026 through December 2026.

TIME
• Each session: 7:00–8:00 PM
• 15–30 min artist(s) presentation
• 30–45 min audience response time (writing, drawing, movement, reflection)

WHERE

PERFORMERS
• Present a work in progress, excerpt, or fully realized piece, for 5 consecutive evenings.
• Become a member and fill out Part 2 of the registration form, first-served.
• Choose your month, January 2026 through December 2026, as well as an alternative month.

HASTA DONDE SABEMOS, EL PERFORMANCE CLUB ¡NO HA SIDO REALIZADO EN NINGÚN OTRO LUGAR!
Performance Club opera desde la creencia de que la performance en vivo es un catalizador tanto para el público como para las personas intérpretes. Al ofrecer tiempo para presenciar una performance en vivo y procesarla inmediatamente de manera individual, a su propia manera—mediante escritura, dibujo, danza, descanso, meditación, etc.—surgen percepciones inesperadas. Performance Club no se trata de crítica, ni de imponer exploraciones ajenas. Es un experimento comunitario que brinda a público y artistas la oportunidad de notar cómo se influyen e inspiran mutuamente.

CÓMO FUNCIONA PERFORMANCE CLUB
• Performance Club es un evento cronometrado de 1 hora que se realiza durante 5 noches consecutivas en la cuarta semana (domingo a jueves) de cada mes, del 26 de enero de 2026 hasta diciembre de 2026.
• La performance en vivo dura entre 15 y 30 minutos, seguida de un periodo de respuesta del público de 30 a 45 minutos, completando la hora total del evento.
• Un(a) artista o grupo de artistas practica o presenta durante 5 noches consecutivas. Cada mes se presenta el trabajo de un(a) nuevo(a) artista(s).
• Los periodos de respuesta del público son un tiempo para la reflexión individual y silenciosa utilizando medios personalmente relevantes: meditación, dibujo, escritura, danza, movimiento, descanso, etc. Esta es la característica definitoria de Performance Club: brindar al público el espacio y el tiempo para explorar cómo la performance puede actuar como catalizador de pensamientos, sensaciones e ideas. Destaca la ausencia de intercambio verbal, como estar en una biblioteca.

CUÁNDO
Performance Club se lleva a cabo la cuarta semana (domingo a jueves) de cada mes, del 26 de enero de 2026 hasta diciembre de 2026.

HORARIO
• Cada sesión: 7:00–8:00 PM
• 15–30 minutos de presentación artística
• 30–45 minutos de respuesta del público (escritura, dibujo, movimiento, reflexión)

ARTISTAS
• Presentar una obra en proceso, un extracto o una pieza completamente realizada durante 5 noches consecutivas.
• Convertirse en miembro y completar la Parte 2 del formulario de inscripción, por orden de llegada.
• Elegir un mes entre enero de 2026 y diciembre de 2026, así como un mes alternativo.
