Welcome to the series kick off event! In this event guest teacher Axake Yotzin of Machtia Tolteka will be setting the ground for a weekend of teachings by introducing participants to the ancient philosophy of central Mexico. These teachings will set the philosophical foundations for the following ritual song and dance workshops that will be provided the following Saturday and Sunday. Chalchiutlicue focuses on the ancient Indigenous teachings of water and how the essence of water polishes our lives. This series is funded in part by the City of Austin Economic Development Department.
