Draw Together

Join us on the last Wednesday of each month at Camp Esperanza for Draw Together, a welcoming community art gathering where creativity meets connection. Led by Austin-based visionary artist Denver Gonzales, creator of the Hydrofénix living art installations, Draw Together brings together Camp Esperanza residents, local artists, and volunteers from across Austin to create side by side. These sessions center on collaborative art making as a tool for relationship building, creative agency, and shared presence.
Participants work collectively on evolving projects, including elements for the Hydrofénix installations, unique living sculptures that combine sustainable gardening practices with visual art and community storytelling. Residents are provided a nourishing lunch through our long-standing partnership with Free Lunch, supporting an environment grounded in care, dignity, and mutual support. No prior art experience is required. All materials are provided.
Draw Together creates a consistent space where art functions as a bridge, fostering belonging, resilience, and creative expression among individuals experiencing housing insecurity.
