WHAT IS HOT?
HOT is a labor of love created by two Austin artists—Melissa Knight, a visual and community/public artist, and Andee Kinzy, a multi-disciplinary artist specializing in arts education, theatre, film, and audio storytelling. Inspired by their journeys through the wild changes of peri/menopause, they decided to create a space where womxn (and the people who love them) can feel seen, heard, and celebrated during “The Change.”

Co-produced by Ground Floor Theatre, HOT hits Austin in May 2025. The exhibit features the premiere of the play I Wanna Be a F*cking Princess by Jenny Connell Davis, a gallery exhibit, thought-provoking panel discussions, and artistic expressions including performance art, spoken word, and music. It is an inclusive space for open dialogue, education, and community engagement.
