Filmmaker (Author/Composer) Marci Winters serves as a mentor for Kids in a New Groove, an organization that teaches music to children in the foster system. Her short documentary, RISING STAR, captures her eight-year bond with Star Zelena, a once timid young girl in the foster care who cultivates the courage to find her voice.
Come for a free viewing of Marci Winters’ Rising Star Documentary Premiere. The short documentary film will be followed by an artist Q & A with the filmmaker (Marci Winters) and Star Zelena in attandence.
